Update on Censure Vote of Dave Agema
A number of State Committee members have authored a resolution condemning Republican National Committee Member Dave Agema’s incendiary comments about gays (although it doesn’t mention him by name). In it, it also reaffirms the parties position on “One Man, One Woman” marriage (Goat’s and sequential hermaphrodites excluded).
Attorney General Bill Schuette’s guys led by Matt Hall and Eric St Onge on the State Committee Policy Committee are trying to block the censure. Hall is even calling down the list lobbying people against it. Most assume that they do not act without their bosses approval. Proof of this was given when Schuette was interviewed by the Macomb News and asked three times about Agema and deflected every time.
Now US Senate candidate Terri Land is refusing to give a statement on the issue outside of campaign rhetoric which implies Agema is being used as a tool by Gary Peter’s against her. A number of sources have contacted Terri Land for comment and she will not give one.
I will update you tomorrow on the results of the State Committee vote and let you know if Bill Schuette’s people have succeeded in protecting the likes of Dave Agema
